My work takes on an interest in Tragicomedy, using video and maquette to relive in re-possessed dwellings where do-it-yourself mentality has created a mess of things. The image of the clown or the comic figure works within the echo of broken walls needing to be repaired where a failed renovation insists on its own introspection. By rebuilding these places I look to describe memories of place serviced by archetypes of the psyche. My structures search for an occupant, multiplying variations of post-war working class housing in miniature form. Here investigations of scale and the body result with many vocabularies.
